Investment Promotion and Mineral Trade (IPMT) (Nigerian Mining)

The Investment Promotion and Mineral Trade (IPMT) Department of the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development has organised stakeholder sensitisation sessions in Osogbo, Osun State, and Kaduna, Kaduna State, aimed at deepening awareness and engagement within the solid minerals sector.

    The sessions, which brought together key players in the mining industry, were designed to promote policy advocacy, foster inclusive dialogue, and highlight opportunities for investment and growth in Nigeria’s solid minerals value chain.

    According to the IPMT Department, the sensitisation forums are part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to promote transparency, improve investor confidence, and support sustainable development across mineral-rich regions.

    The engagements featured interactive discussions on regulatory frameworks, trade facilitation, access to finance, and government incentives. Participants also explored collaborative strategies for formalising artisanal mining and enhancing value addition within the sector.

    The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting stakeholders, improving the ease of doing business, and positioning the solid minerals sector as a key pillar of Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda.
