The visit is part of ongoing efforts to address challenges faced by miners, including the dangers of mine collapses and exposure to hazardous substances like lead poisoning.

    In addition to improving working conditions, the cooperatives will enable more efficient and sustainable marketing of artisanal mining products. By creating a structured framework, the government aims to uplift the livelihoods of miners and ensure safer, more organised mining practices across Niger State.
