Four Dead, Several Injured in Explosion at Niger Mining Site

An explosion at a mining site in Sabon Pegi, located within the Mashegun Local Government Area of Niger State, has resulted in the deaths of four individuals, with several others injured.

    The blast occurred on Sunday morning as miners began their work at the site. While the exact cause of the explosion is still under investigation, residents of Sabon Pegi suspect that improper handling of explosives by mining companies may have played a role in the tragedy.
