Trucks Intercepted by EFCC (News Central TV)

Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have intercepted eight trucks carrying suspected illegally mined solid minerals.

    Illegally mined minerals from Logo LGA in Benue State

    According to a press statement by the EFCC, the arrests took place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

    The intercepted trucks were found transporting solid minerals suspected to be fluorite and iron stones. “The minerals were mined from some illegal mining sites in the Logo Local Government Area of Benue State,” the agency stated.

    The EFCC confirmed that the suspects will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
