The Critical Minerals Africa Group (CMAG) has officially announced the formation of its Advisory Board—an assembly of accomplished industry leaders and experts committed to driving sustainable development in the continent’s critical minerals sector. The board will offer strategic guidance and expert insights to bolster CMAG’s mission of promote responsible mining and strengthening regional supply chains.

    The Advisory Board’s inaugural members include:

    • Natznet Tesfay, Executive Director and Head of Insights and Analytics at S&P Global: With over ten years of experience in market analysis and strategic advisory, Ms. Tesfay brings invaluable expertise in economic forecasting and resource management. She is expected to play a key role in shaping CMAG’s data-driven initiatives and enhancing its market intelligence capacity.
    • Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, Founder and Chairman of APO Group: A veteran in communications and public relations, Mr. Pompigne-Mognard possesses significant experience in boosting stakeholder engagement and promoting investment opportunities across Africa. His contributions will be instrumental in elevating CMAG’s global presence and advocacy efforts in the critical minerals space.
    • Richard Morgan, Former Head of Government Relations at Anglo-American PLC: Mr. Morgan’s extensive background in policy development and stakeholder engagement will provide CMAG with essential insights for navigating regulatory environments and cultivating partnerships with government institutions.

    Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard also shared his thoughts on joining the board:
