Classique Geo-Consults Nigeria Limited is setting a new standard in a bid to advance mineral exploration while safeguarding communities and the environment mining industry in Gombe State.

Speaking to our correspondent in an exclusive interview, the company’s CEO, Suleiman Muhammad Adam, emphasised that the firm is not only focused on exploration but also committed to educating young geoscientists and sensitising host communities about the potential impacts of mining activities.
“Classique Geo-Consults Nigeria Limited is not just a mining and exploration company,” Adam said. “It is an organisation designed to educate young geoscientists and the general public on mining activities, especially concerning the environmental impacts these activities may cause.”
On the technical side of operations, Adam noted that rigorous geophysical and geochemical survey methods are employed to guide exploration efforts. “Geology is a broad field,” he explained. “Geochemical analyses are taken to the lab where the geochemist analyses and provides results, which the geologist then interprets. Good strategies are set for any field under professional guidance — including experts from Gombe State University.”
Environmental conservation, Adam said, is a core value of the company’s operations. “We make sure the conservation of biodiversity is one of the main concerns, making sure no one is harmed and having good negotiations with villagers to maintain peace.”
He stressed the importance of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), calling them “the most crucial process” in mining. “This takes place at the early stage of mining, right after exploration or reconnaissance, and includes measures to conserve biodiversity and mitigate future crises,” he added.
Classique Geo-Consults also engages in post-mining field rehabilitation efforts. “These include reclamation of old fields and reforestation, as well as removing water from pits that may destabilise the ecosystem,” Adam said.
Youth engagement remains a strategic priority. “We recruit local youths to ensure they are part of the process and benefit from it. We also educate young geoscientists through teaching, tutorials, and fieldwork, showing them how to utilise what they learn in class.”
The CEO also revealed that field work is ongoing, particularly during periods of low engagements. These activities are not only geared toward mineral discovery but also towards scholarly contributions, with the publication of journals chronicling both successes and challenges.
On client engagement, Adam noted, “We make sure to meet the demands of clients in terms of mineral grade through sincerity and timely delivery.”
Looking to the future, Adam outlined a vision of innovation and regional impact. “Our long-term goal is to move from manual to modern processes — like using machinery instead of manual labour to reduce risk. We are building trust and sincerity to attract partnerships and hope to gain international recognition,” he said.
He added that collaboration with government agencies is ongoing: “We share information with them to keep them informed of challenges and progress.”
With a vision rooted in integrity, education, and environmental responsibility, Classique Geo-Consults is positioning itself not just as a mining firm, but as a catalyst for sustainable development in Nigeria’s mineral-rich northeast.
